How to Detect Hidden Cameras and Protect Your Privacy
Use environmental checks, network review and professional inspection to reduce hidden-camera risks in hotels and rentals.
If you suspect an unauthorized camera, prioritize personal safety and contact the property manager or local authorities. Do not dismantle electrical equipment or disturb potential evidence.
Inspect unusual objects
Look for unexplained openings or reflections facing beds, bathrooms or changing areas, especially in modified outlets, alarms, clocks and chargers.
Network and professional checks
Review unfamiliar devices only when you have network authority. An empty device list does not prove the space is safe because some cameras use local storage or separate networks.
